The Diamond Necklace Project, Phase One, 2001- 2021 (20 yr scope)

This project was planned for the lighting of the top 25 Cultural and Historic Sites in Downtown Boston. Originally funded largely by Boston’s Landmark Commission, the Boston Foundation, the Massachusetts Port Authority, and the Boston Cultural Council. This original document has been a guide, filled with many trials, successes, and challenges that we will discuss.  Our goal is to inspire the site owners to bring their building or bridge into light, by using proper techniques with modern lighting equipment.

The future is bright as we look to the year, 2030, the 400th anniversary of Boston’s founding.  Our success depends on private, and public contributions.

Make history with us by volunteering!
